Kinda looking for info on Garrison instruments in general, since I can't seem to find much.

Re: Gariison OM???

They were Canadian made. Didn't they have some unusual form of bracing - some kind of non wood composite material? Don't quote me on that - I just seem to remember that they used a non standard type of bracing in their instruments...

Re: Gariison OM???

I played a Garrison guitar once... it was really nice, nice full tone and good feeling on the neck. From what I hear they're a pretty solid build so the OM's are probably sound as well

Re: Gariison OM???

Triplet Upstairs is right. They had developed some unique carbon fiber bracing sysytem that interested Gibson to the point where they bought the company. I don't think Gibson has any interest in continuing the product line...they just wanted the bracing system.

I suspect in time, there might be a line of cheap Asian built/Gibson owned instruments with the name "Garrison" on the headstock the way they've done with Epiphone and now Flatiron.
