Traditional music and dance organization putting on a variety of events from dances, concerts, music sessions, and more in historic Shepherdstown, WV. Concert series presents traditional music from around the world including many events featuring Irish, Scottish, French Canadian, and Appalachian music. Next event, Wednesday, August 19 The Incredible Piping Magic of EJ Jones Join us for an evening of bagpipe music from Scottish piper and pipemaker, EJ Jones. Jones, a member of the Celtic band Clandestine, the Medieval and Renaissance band Istanpitta and the pipe and drum band Teribus, plays a wide ranges of bagpipes, wooden flute, bombarde and more. Located in the lovely ambiance St. Peter's Lutheran Church on the corner of King and High Streets, in the heart of historic Shepherdstown, this concert and the lively session to follow (musicians are encouraged to bring instruments) is guaranteed to liven up a summer's eve. Lark Camp (Live Music)
Nestled deep in the coastal redwood forest on the Mendocino coast, this music camp features Irish as well as traditional music from every corner of the globe. There are sessions all around at any time plus workshops on every instrument. If you're keen on dancing, there's plenty of that as well. Very relaxed atmosphere with an emphasis on fun. This camp happens every year on the first week of August where it meets the last day or days of July.
