ABOUT ME:
I'm a fiddler and also play any instrument with strings ...
My favorite fiddlers are those that see the fiddle as not a show-off tool, yet use their instrument to summon feelings, moods and good spirits... I took up the fiddle to do just that... in many ways it found me and I'm glad it did...
TUNES I LIKE:
The tunes that stick to my ears are usually very old or seem older than they are... to me old is a positive word that directly correlates to depth... I'm not a human tune processor, which means I only play tunes I like... or those get inside of me and just have to come out... some modern compositions sound very mechanical and don't stick to my ears... and yes some old ones do the same at times!
TUNES I WRITE:
I know hundreds of tunes and yes I write hundreds of tunes. (modern compositions!) Most of my tunes don't see "air time" because I'm usually playing other tunes. Feel free to play my tunes anywhere anytime. If you want to record them, (which some have) whether it's a small or large project, just ask... the delight is knowing others get something from them.
At the suggestion of some here, and as good etiquette, I'll begin posting my original tunes here, instead of the tune submission part of this site... seems like a great idea...
